Matt was recommended when I was looking for an ecologist to help with early stage thinking to develop conservation proposals for a major development in South Wales. Matt helped me develop the brief I gave him to ensure I captured all the information I needed. He worked from a wide range of sources and drew on his extensive network of expert colleagues to deliver a high quality report that covered everything we needed to address. In addition he identified key areas for future work and areas where existing research was poor, to enable us to develop a forward plan for our conservation work. With Matt's work to I have been able to brief senior members of my team to ensure they have knowledge and understanding of the key issues, both ecological and legal, in taking forward our project's proposals for conservation.

Matt is also a delight to work with, gives great attention to detail, works to time and shares his extensive knowledge generously.

NewLandOwner have been involved in planning applications for farm related wind turbines throughout England and Wales since 2010.

Matt Levan first came to NewLandOwner’s assistance in 2011, when a Bat survey was unexpectedly demanded by the planning authority, for a 5kW farm based wind turbine in South Wales. He produced the survey quickly and efficiently without overkill, but with adequate information for the job in hand, his report was accepted and the application was approved.

He has also advised and surveyed for 50kW turbine applications and is currently in charge of producing the Environmental Impact Assessment for a 500kW machine.
