Today I return to an old project, it’ll be interesting to see how things have changed. Having worked on the translocation of protected animals from an area I have now been asked back to supervise the final clearance of topsoil, assuming the weather remains warm.

The work will be a destructive search, which is done once the animals have been safely moved from the site and consists of carefully removing vegetation with an ecologist watching in order to capture any that might remain. This can only be done in relatively warm conditions when animals have not yet begun to hibernate so┬áit’s touch and go if we will finish in time.
