So it’s a while since I updated this and I wanted to post an update on what I’ve been up to. It has been a busy couple of months with lots of site work mainly doing watching brief work for ground investigations but with a number of phase 1 surveys as well. A growing number of these are for single wind turbine sites where I am helping clients to identify exactly what is and isn’t needed in terms of additional surveys and mitigation. With the number of such applications still growing this is likely to be an increasingly important area for Levan Ecology in future.
With so much on there hasn’t been as much time for training but I have of course gained my dormouse licence and look forward to more chances to work with these fascinating (and cute) animals.
Elsewhere the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management has launched a Register of Chartered Ecologists, this is a brand new qualification and it will take a while to understand the requirements but I hope to be able to apply in the not too distant future.
